The Brief:

Todd Crowley, Director of Vaxa Group, came to the Clearshot studio to record a podcast. For Todd, launching the Intelligence; Optimised podcast wasn’t just about showcasing the Vaxa Group’s expertise, or their impressive network of clients across critical industries. It wasn’t even about getting great clips to share on social (which he sometimes sends directly to leads to give them a nudge). It was about something more simple, yet even more important: Vaxa needed to be able to easily explain what their international, complex, fingers-in-all-the-pies business does

What We Delivered:
We recorded a season of the Intelligence; Optimised Podcast, with high-profile military, disaster recovery, and critical industries guests either coming into our Brisbane studio or linking up from all over the world.

We recorded a season of the Intelligence; Optimised Podcast, with high-profile military, disaster recovery, and critical industries guests either coming into our Brisbane studio or linking up from all over the world.

This is an example of a client who technically just uses our studio and equipment, with us handing over the video and audio files to the Vaxa Group marketing department after the session for them to upload and create social content.

However, Clearshot is still heavily involved in the process for these ‘studio-only’ clients, particularly during the onboarding process when the client is finding their feet with podcasting. We also remain ‘in the room’ (or watching on a screen next door) during these record sessions, in case we need to jump in to clarify a question or if there’s a technical issue like background noise or someone fidgeting that’s being picked up by the mic. We also remain your sounding board for podcasting questions throughout the whole process.

Results:

Todd reports that his new podcast quickly made waves in senior defence circles in Canberra, and that the podcast is already serving as a helpful sales tool.

“Some of the early feedback we received was from a very senior defence member in Canberra, he said to me, ‘Mate, people are listening. People are taking note of what you’re saying.” It really delivered credibility to our brand. And the way you guys at Clearshot explained the process of podcasting — it was calm, relaxing, seamless. It all made sense. And it was great that it was a one-stop-shop.”

When we started this podcast studio back in 2023, I didn’t foresee that I’d be in the room with national security specialists, colonels, US ambassadors, and a bunch of other people with titles far past my pay grade. Podcasting is a great way to explain a complex or little-understood business like Vaxa, and we are pretty chuffed they chose Clearshot to record it!
